Featuring Tampa Bay's only open-air ice skating rink, where guests can skate under the stars in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg while surrounded by spectacular holiday lights and a festive atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the region.

meet willie the penguin
Hi, I’m Willie!
My friends call me Chilly Willie, and believe it or not, I never planned on becoming a snowbird! But my pelican pals kept telling me how great Downtown St. Pete was. The sunshine, the waterfront, the people, the fun. So I finally decided to waddle south and see what all the fuss was about.
Well… they were right. I loved it so much, I decided to stay awhile! Of course, I couldn’t come all this way without bringing a little bit of home with me.
When I heard that Williams Park was St. Pete’s very first park, I thought it was only fitting that it get another first: an open-air ice rink! So I brought some chilly weather, a few of my favorite foods and trinkets, and plenty of good times to share as a thank-you for making me feel so at home.
I’ll be hanging around Winter Wonder all season, making new friends, getting into a little mischief, and showing you how a penguin does the holidays in Florida.
Eventually, I’ll have to snowbird back home when things get a little too warm for my feathers. But don’t worry! My pelican pals have promised to keep the fun going until I waddle back into town next winter.
